Elvira "Ellie" Lober, 88, died peacefully Oct. 23, 2022, while in hospice care in Annapolis, Md.
Elvira was born in Chicago and met her future husband Richard at age 7 in the German American Jugendchor. Elvira and Richard lived for many years in Clarendon Hills and loved travel, music and entertaining. Elvira was active in the Hinsdale United Methodist Church for many years and was a member of PEO International, a charitable organization that promotes the education and advancement of young women.
Elvira is survived by her sons, Richard (Annette, nee White) and Robert (Elise, nee Fett); her grandchildren, Sarah (Brian Selman), Michael and Matthew; her step-grandson, Halen Fett Hanson; and her two great-grandchildren, Emma Selman and Harper Selman.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the Hinsdale United Methodist Church, 945 S. Garfield Ave.
