Donald Morrison, 84, of Hinsdale passed away Jan. 18, 2023, peacefully in his home.
Don was born in Detroit, Mich., to John and Nona Morrison in 1938. He attended school in Redford, Mich. He married Ruth Rosevelt Morrison on Aug. 10,1963, in Decatur, Mich. He graduated with a civil engineering degree from Michigan State University and had a long and successful career at Chicago Bridge and Iron. He was a member of the Chicago Scots, and spent many happy years helping to organize the Scottish Festival and Highland Games.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Rosevelt Morrison; his brother-in-law, John (Andrea) Rosevelt; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Rosevelt; his nephew, Dave (Susan) Rosevelt; and his nieces, Christine (Eric) Gajar and Suzanne (Derek) Osborne.
Visitation is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., in Hinsdale.
A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be held at a later date in Keeler, Mich.
