Carmen Baldoza-Banez, M.D., 89, of Hinsdale, passed away peacefully March 2, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Carmen was an exceptionally strong woman whose family felt blessed to have her as its head. Carmen graduated from University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines, with a degree in medicine. After graduating, she went on to pursue a career as a pediatrician as she embarked her journey to the USA and the state of Illinois. Carmen was a passionate and devoted mother who gave her all to her family and the Filipino-American community. She was a devout Catholic.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Banez; her daughter, Veramarie (Todd Everard) Baldoza; her brother, Ignacio Gallego; and her stepchildren, Ramon (Mary) Banez and Cristina (Ben) Paredes.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maximo Baldoza, M.D .; and her son, Anthony Max Baldoza.
Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 9 at St. Isaac Jogues, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale.
Burial will be private at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Flowers and plants are welcome as she loved gardening.
