Helen Schneider Miller, 93, passed away on March 27, 2023, in Willowbrook. Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Oscar and Cathrine Schneider; dear sister of Daniel (Judith) Schneider, and fond cousin, friend and colleague of many.
Helen graduated from Mundelein College in 1952 with a bachelor’s degree in education and a minor in art. She also earned a master’s degree in education from Loyola University in Chicago and went on to further her education in post-graduate study programs through UCLA, Merton College, Oxford University, Kings College and Cambridge University in the United Kingdom. Helen taught and mentored children for over 40 years at the Charles J. Sahs School in Stickney, Illinois and later became the superintendent of schools in Stickney.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023, 3 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, 10 a.m. from Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 South Grant Street, Hinsdale to St. Isaac Jogues Church, 306 West Fourth St. Hinsdale. Mass is at 10:30 a.m.
