I enthusiastically endorse Catherine Greenspon for the Hinsdale District 86 Board of Education. Her candidacy is refreshing and inspiring, especially considering the current state of our political climate. One of Catherine’s most admirable qualities is her independence. She is not beholden to any interest group or political broker. She has a clear and unbiased sense of what is best for our schools and refuses to be influenced by the whims of others. Catherine’s willingness to work with everyone has been crucial in her success. She makes a point to reach out to all stakeholders in the community and listens to their concerns, regardless of their background or beliefs.
Fiscal prudence is another one of Catherine’s strengths. As a board member for some of Chicagoland’s foremost institutions (Museum of Science and Industry and Big Shoulders Fund to name a few), she knows how to manage and make the most of our resources. Her sound judgment ensures that taxpayers’ money will be used effectively and responsibly. Most importantly, Catherine’s desire to put the interests of the students first is what sets her apart. She is committed to providing our kids with a well-rounded education that values not only academic excellence, but also their mental and physical well-being.
As a former elected official, I know firsthand how important it is to have quality candidates running for office. We are fortunate to have someone of Catherine’s caliber running to represent our community. Please join me in voting for her on April 4.— Greg Hart, former DuPage County Board member and Hinsdale resident
