Rita Mary Reed, nee Baisz, 80, of Willowbrook died April 19, 2023.
She was born in 1942 to John and Mary Baisz.
Rita and her husband, Owen, were one of original residents of Lake Hinsdale in Willowbrook. She was a retired employee of Sears, Roebuck and Co., where she worked for many years in the corporate offices. Rita was the "Funnest Aunt Ever," a loving caretaker, the best gift giver, an avid traveler and a kind neighbor.
She loved dining out with family and friends and loved the holidays, especially Christmas.
She is survived by her husband 57 years, Owen Reed; her brother, George (Carolyn) Baisz; her niece and nephews, Joan Reichardt, John Kadow, Jim Kadow and George Baisz Jr.; and many great-nieces and -nephews.
A funeral Mass was held April 24 at Notre Dame Church in Clarendon Hills.
Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.
Sullivan Funeral Home in Hinsdale handled the arrangements.
