Hinsdale legacies - The home at 222 E. Sixth St. was built as a Queen Anne in 1892 for John Charles Fremont Merrill but remodeled in the 1940s to its current classical revival style. The home was featured in "Hinsdale the Beautiful: Gem of Chicago Suburbs," published by Campbell's Illustrated Journal in November 1897. The home recently underwent its latest renovation under new owners Lael and Colin Falls. Learn more about the house in this week's installment of the Hinsdale Legacies series on Page 5.
