Xiaoming Wang of Hinsdale passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023, at UCM AdventHealth Hinsdale Hospital.
Xiaoming, 84, was born in Changchun, Jilin Province, China, in 1939 to parents Chunlin Wang and Guirong Zou.
Xiaoming is an accomplished sculptor whose large-scale sculptures and monuments dot the streets of Shanghai, as well as other cities across China. However, Xiaoming's greatest accomplishment was his family and the 54-year marriage he shared with his wife, Dinghua. Xiaoming will be remembered by all who knew him for his kindness, compassion, selfless love and the amazing ability to create beauty with his hands.
Xiaoming is survived by his beloved wife, Dinghua Xuan; his daughter, Lei Wang; his son-in-law, Qing Xu; and his granddaughter, Isabella Xu, all of Hinsdale; his two brothers, three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
A private visitation was held at Adolf Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. June 24 at Hinsdale Chinese Christian Church, 5750 Holmes Ave., Clarendon Hills.
