Christopher Robert Katsis, 31, formerly of Hinsdale, passed away Sept. 14, 2023.
Chris was a loyal friend and had a huge heart and a great sense of humor. Chris loved to joke and make people laugh, especially his mom.
His greatest accomplishment was his son, Mason Robert. Chris loved Mason with his whole heart and soul. His favorite things to do with Mason were going to parks and forest preserves and swimming.
Chris loved the White Sox and the Packers. He loved vacationing in the Wisconsin Northwoods. He loved the family dogs, Murphy, Eddie and Bella.
Christopher graduated from Hinsdale Middle School and Hinsdale Central High School.
He was beloved by everyone that met him, a loving father, grandson, son and brother - and a great friend to many.
Christopher is survived by his son, Mason Robert; Mason's mother, Giana Kerekes; his parents, Laura and Keith; his siblings, Sara, Ryan and Megan; his grandmothers, Diane Treend and Mary Katsis; his grandfather, Roger Treend; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Christopher was preceded in death by his godfather, Steve Eggert; his grandmother, Dorothy LaMon; his grandfather, John Katsis Sr., and his uncle, Kevin G. Katsis.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at Adolf and Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S. Madison St., Willowbrook.
Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, for a funeral Mass at St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale.
