Courtney Joy Schrey, 42, of Oakbrook Terrace, passed away peacefully Nov. 13, 2023.
Courtney attended Hinsdale Central High School, Northwestern University and Illinois Institute of Technology. She loved swimming and crossword puzzles. Courtney taught and tutored many at College of DuPage.
She is survived by her father, Thomas; and her aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Iris.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 30, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside.
Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Randhill Park Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Denver Health Foundation, 601 N. Broadway, 9th Floor, Denver, CO 80204. Designate that in the transmittal that the donation is for the ACUTE fund in honor of Dr. Mehler and the staff.
