Thomas S. Garland Sr. of Hinsdale died Nov. 22, 2023.
Thomas was a model train enthusiast and a huge Cubs fan. He loved his dog, Gabriella.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee Areddia); his sons, Thomas and Joseph; his mother, Barbara; his sisters, Kim (Thomas) Campbell and Jill Garland; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 30, at St. John of the Cross Church, 5005 Wolf Road, Western Springs.
Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
Hallowell & James Funeral Home in Countryside handled the arrangements.
