Hinsdale Central girls varsity basketball coach Erin Navolio and two other members of the girls basketball team coaching staff resigned on Monday.
The resignations prompted the postponement of the team’s game Tuesday against Proviso West, according to a statement from Hinsdale High School District 86.
“Mike Jezioro, the school’s athletic director, will be filling in as the coach while his department conducts a search for interim and permanent replacements,” according to statement.
Jezioro will work with Proviso West officials to reschedule the game that was postponed.
“We want to thank the Red Devil community for its patience as we navigate this situation, and for its continued help in supporting the growth, development and success of our student-athletes,” the statement reads.
