Hinsdale police distributed the following reports Jan. 30.
Arrest for drug possession
James M. Meyer, 38, 434 S. Lincoln St., was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and on an arrest warrant out of DuPage County at 9:26 p.m. Jan. 26 in the 400 block of Lincoln Street after being found in possession of a substance that field tested positive for Fentanyl. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Warrant arrest
Richard D. Martinez, 35, 610 The Lane, was arrested on a warrant out of DuPage County at 2:24 a.m. Jan. 30 in the 600 block of The Lane after police responded to a disturbance. He was taken to DuPage County Jail.
Harassing texts sent
A known suspect sent text messages of an alarming and threatening nature at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 27 to a resident of the 100 block of Minneola Street.
Identity theft cases
• The identity of a resident of the 900 block of Oakwood Terrace was used to file fraudulent Medicare claims between March 28 and May 30 of 2023. The incident was reported Jan. 24.
• Someone used the identity of a resident of the 200 block of South Thurlow Street to access the victim’s bank account and make fraudulent transactions. The incident was reported Jan. 29.
Stolen gift cards used
A known suspect used stolen gift cards between Jan. 9 and 24 at Whole Foods, 500 E. Ogden Ave.
