Karen Buddig Noble, 70, passed away Feb. 20, 2024, at her residence in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by her family and siblings.
Born Karen Ann Buddig in 1953, she was the daughter of Robert and Mary Buddig. Karen grew up in the Beverly area of Chicago and the suburb of Palos Park, where she attended Carl Sandburg High School. She graduated from the University of Denver.
Dedicating more than three decades of her career to her family business, Carl Buddig and Co., Karen served as the executive vice president of human resources and as a member of the board of directors. Her unwavering dedication, warmth and guidance touched many lives within the company, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and compassion that will be remembered by all who had the privilege to work alongside her.
Karen cherished her family and countless friends. Whether hosting her annual Kentucky Derby party, holiday events, spending time at her cottage on Indian Lake in Michigan or skiing in Utah, Karen's welcoming nature was contagious.
She survived by her husband of 31 years, Michael Noble; her son, Carl Noble; her brothers, Tom (Alexis), Robert (Mary) and Tim (Felicity) of Hinsdale and Roger (Barbara) Buddig; and 12 nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today, March 7, at The DoubleTree by Hilton, 5000 W. 127th St., Alsip.
