Hinsdale High School District 86 Board
Among other business at their March 21 meeting, board members:
• learned the dates and times for incoming Superintendent Michael Lach’s “Listen and Learn’ sessions have been finalized and will take place on Wednesdays in April. He will be available to meet with Hinsdale Central parents and community members from 4 to 5 p.m. April 3 at Central. A virtual session will take place for all from noon to 1 p.m. April 24.
• approved a consolidated registration fee of $485 for the 2024-25 school year, which includes a $340 course fee, $135 for textbooks and $10 for a student activity pass
• agreed to spend $154,000 with Berglund Construction Co. for tuckpointing at Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South high schools
• voted to have Douglas Flooring Co. replace stair treads at Hinsdale Central at a cost not to exceed $229,000
• approved a one-year contract extension with First Student for regular and special education transportation. Costs will increase 8.5 percent.
