Dolores Krajewski

Dolores "Dee Dee" Krajewski, nee Noviski, 93, passed away peacefully March 12, 2024, at Victory Lakes Senior Living Center in Lindenhurst.

Dee Dee was born to Edward and Sally Noviski in Chicago and raised in Marion, Ind., along with her sister, Bernice.

She attended Ladywood High School in Indianapolis (Class of '47) and then graduated from Rosary College in River Forest (Class of '51) where she met her beloved life partner, John "Jack" Krajewski. They were married on Nov. 24, 1951 and were blessed with four children.

Settling in Hinsdale, Dee Dee raised her family, worked and was an active member of St. Isaac Jogues Church and School. A champion of family activities, she loved camping and time spent at Lake Tippecanoe, Ind.. She was the guiding force behind each of her children's successes in life.

Looking for a slower pace, Dee Dee and Jack retired to Lake Summerset near Durand. They were quickly welcomed into the community and found a home at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Always active, she played a great game of golf and everyone wanted her to be their partner when playing bridge. She also enjoyed her many great friends, gardening, swimming, traveling, sewing, crafting and bocce ball.

After Jack's passing in 2016, she moved to Victory Lakes Senior Living Center to be closer to her children. She continued to embrace life attending mass and playing bridge games with cherished friends. Dee Dee will be remembered as a loving mother/grandmother and devoted wife.

She always provided warmth, comfort and direction and her legacy of love endures in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Lynn, Cliff (the late Amy) Krajewski, Casey (Vilija) Krajewski and Paul Krajewski; her grandchildren, Ellyn (Tyler) Dove, Andrew, Natalie (Joe) Krajewski-Fassl, Eric Henderson, Christian, Tomas and Daniel; and her great-granddaughter, Lily Dove.
