After throwing out the first pitch for the Clarendon Hills Softball Queen of the Hills tournament, Hinsdale's Alexander Brown took over the microphone to shout, "Play ball!" The 10U round robin tournament was hosted by the Lady Red Devils June 9. Proceeds from the event went to benefit the Make-A-Wish Illinois organization. Alexander is currently undergoing treatment for a brain tumor and will be starting kindergarten at The Lane School this fall. He is also looking forward to his Make-A-Wish Disney cruise this fall.
