Hinsdale's Alexander Brown was given the job of throwing out the first pitch to open up the Queen of the Hills 10U Round Robin Tournament in Clarendon Hills June 9. The tournament benefited the Make-A-Wish Illinois organization. Alexander is currently undergoing treatment for a brain tumor and will be attending kindergarten at The Lane this fall. His sister, Charlotte, sang the National Anthem to start the day's events. Then Charlotte and Alexander helped staff the concession area, which, along with other donations, generated more than $8,500 for Make-A-Wish. Parents Christy and Matt Brown also helped out with the events. (Jim Slonoff photos)
