Kids entering first through eighth grade will create memories and safely enjoy time with their peers. The camp offers a variety of creative learning experiences including sports, drama and environmental awareness to name a few. The camp is broken up into weekly themes, with the field trip, activities and projects for the week related to the theme. Before (7 to 9 a.m.) and after (3 to 6 p.m.) care is offered at an additional cost. Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: $375 a week, $80 a day.

Campers ages 10-12 who are passionate about animals will participate in animal care workshops, a small animal safari, crafts, humane education, animal advocacy and more. Time: 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Cost: $300 per session.

Kids ages 5-13 can start their mornings this summer free drawing or participating in a drawing exercise. This can be taken weekly in conjunction with Open Art Studio (below) at a cost of $210. Time: 9 to 10 a.m. $80 a week, $18 a day.

Campers ages 7-12 will use paper mache and all kinds of clay to create an object, from practical items like bowls and vases to wild sculptures made of unconventional materials. Time: 1 to 4 p.m. Cost: $255.

Campers develop throwing, catching and dodging skills as well as the agility and stamina needed to play dodgeball and other sports. Participants ages 7-12 will experience individual challenges and team competition. Soft balls are used. Time: 1 to 3 p.m. Cost: $130.

n EV Fine Arts Fashion Design + Sewing Camp

Students ages 6-13 will learn to operate a sewing machine, sew garments from scratch and see their designs come to life. A different garment will be made each day. No sewing experience is necessary. The week ends with a fashion show on Friday. All materials are included. Additional sessions take place weekly through Aug. 9. Time: 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $495.

Boys and girls ages 5-12 will learn the jumping, running and throwing skills involved in the sport of track and field, practicing sprints, relays, long-distance walking, running hurdles, long jump, discuss throw and other events. A meet will be held the last day of camp. Time: 9 to 10:30 a.m. for ages 5-7, 10 a.m. to noon for ages 8-12. Cost: $98/$130.

This camp is designed for children with developmental and cognitive disabilities. Remaining spots can be filled by children without disabilities. Campers will be provided with an array of activities — from interacting with pets to making crafts — that will encourage them to express their creativity and share their emotions. Additional sessions will be offered July 26 and Aug. 9. Sign up for one or more. Time: 9 to 11 a.m.

Campers ages 9 to 16 will learn about the earliest forms of reproducible media and practice calligraphy and mono, relief and screen printing. Then they’ll apply the techniques to various projects, including a Chicago skyline and pop art prints. Time: 1 to 4 p.m. Cost: $235.

Prepare for the upcoming season by learning league rules, fundamentals and game play through drills and scrimmages. Players ages 6-12 will learn both sides of the ball, including passing, catching, defensive positioning and de-flagging. Time: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for ages 9-12, 1 to 2:20 p.m. for ages 6-8.
