Pictures from the past - The building at 101 S. Washington St., which is now occupied by Marcus, started out as the Hinsdale State Bank. Designed by Hinsdale architect William Barfield, it was built in 1927. In the 1960s the building was purchased by Pat Davis, the mother of Sally Parsons, who provided this photo. Her mom turned the building into "The Left Bank" which housed a restaurant and a several small shops over the years. Davis also founded Pat Davis Realtors, which was the first female-owned real estate agency in Hinsdale. Do you have a Hinsdale photo that is at least 25 years old? We'd love to share it with our readers. Stop by our office at 7 W. First St. or email it to [email protected].
