Hinsdale police released the following reports Sept. 4.
DUI arrests
• Jayla R. Matela, 21, 1244 Elder Road, Homewood, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol content higher than .08 at 3 p.m. Aug. 31 at Route 83 and 55th Street after being involved in a crash with another vehicle. She submitted to testing that indicated she was over the legal limit, and then was charged and released to appear in court.
• James M. Shortall, 54, 1042 Ferdinand Ave., Forest Park, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without head or tail lights when required and improper Lane use at 7:54 p.m. Aug. 28 at Monroe Street and Ogden Avenue. He refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content before being charged and released to appear in court.
Woman wanted on warrant
Police discovered Caryl S. Henningsen, 70, 9 Woodstock Ave., Clarendon Hills, was wanted on a warrant out of Naperville when they responded to a well-being check at the Hinsdale train depot, 21 E. Hinsdale Ave., at 2:28 p.m. Aug. 27. She was released on her own recognizance to appear in court.
Domestic battery arrest
A 36-year-old Chicago man was arrested for domestic battery for making contact of an insulting or provoking nature with the victim in the parking lot of Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N. Oak St., at 9:42 a.m. Aug. 27. He also damaged the rear window of the victim’s vehicle. He was charged and taken to DuPage County Jail.
Identity thefts reported
• Someone used the identity of a resident of the 900 block of South Monroe Street to purchase a vehicle between Aug. 16 and 28.
• The credit card information of a resident of the 300 block of The Lane was used to make fraudulent transactions Aug. 28.
Property at KLM damaged
Someone damaged a park bench and park signs at KLM Park, 5905 S. County Line Road, between 3 p.m. Aug. 23 and 6 a.m. Aug. 26.
