Shannon Beard, 55, of Belvidere, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 4, 2024.
She was born in 1969 to Kenneth and Susan (Wells) Beard in Louisville, Ky. Shannon graduated from Hinsdale Central High School with the class of 1987 and completed her education, earning a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University. She worked for many years selling real estate.
Shannon loved painting and spending time in nature photographing her adventures, especially by the water. Shannon had an incredible love of sand, whether on the beach reading or standing in a horse arena. Her big heart was fond of all kinds of animals especially, her grand donkey Eeyore, who shared her love of Combos.
She is survived by four daughters, Ashley Varchetto, Chloe Varchetto, Taylor Varchetto and Megan Varchetto; her mother, Susan Beard; her two sisters, Kim Beard and Paige Beard; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Beard; and her uncle, Buzz Beard.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Bonita Lake in Belvidere. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial is prviate at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook.
