Greg Hart, a former DuPage County Board member and longtime Hinsdale resident, will seek election for village president in the April 1 election.
“After much consideration and encouragement from the community, I am formally announcing my candidacy for president of the village of Hinsdale,” he stated in a press releaese. “My primary mission as your village president will be to improve public safety, champion our local businesses and expand shopping and dining options in the central business district, improve our infrastructure (including bringing ComEd to the negotiating table to finally bury our power lines) and expand intergovernmental cooperation with our federal, state and county representatives and surrounding municipalities.”
Hart said he wants to bring a fresh perspective to village government that looks to the future while maintaining the village’s character.
“I look forward to earning your support and working with all residents to move Hinsdale forward,” he said.
Candidates have until Monday, Nov. 18, to file their petitions to be on the April 1 ballot.
