Philomena Falzone Messina, 94, died peacefully Oct. 21, 2024.
Philomena was born in Chicago in 1930 to Giovanni Falzone and Josephine Ippolito Falzone. She married Emilio Messina in 1950.
She is survived by her husband, Emilio Messina; her four children, Antoinette LaPonte, Josephine Crnjak, Frank (Tina) Messina of Hinsdale and Tina (Rick) Welch; her grandchildren, Alycia (Jonathon) LaPonte Frosolone, Emilia and Stefhen Crnjak, Maxum (Constance), Mitchel (Kiya) and Maley Messina and Bridget and Erica Welch; her sister, Mary Natalie; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation is at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 60 S. Grant St., Hinsdale.
A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Entombment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
