SENIOR BREAKS SCHOOL RECORD

Benet Academy senior Finn Richards of Hinsdale won the Peoria High School cross country invitational by running 3 miles in 14:22.50 and breaking Benet’s 53-year-old record by 19 seconds. Richards’ time at Detweiller Park in Peoria is the fastest in the state this year.

TEAM WINS SILVER BREAK

The Hinsdale Central boys varsity soccer team won the Silver Brick Oct. 1 by beating LT by a score of 3-2 in overtime, bringing its total wins over the past five years to 4-1.

The first Silver Brick game was played in 2008 at Centennial Field. Central’s overall record vs. LT for regular season games stands at 24-28-4.
