Marlene Pankow Hellwig, a longtime Hinsdale resident, died peacefully Nov. 2, 2024.
She was married for 62 years to her college sweetheart, Albert Hellwig, until his death in 2018.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Dan Roller); her grandchildren, Amy (Paul Thomas) and Julianne Roller, Jack (fiancée Grace Corrigan), Christy (Max) Fortin, Kelly (Troy) Volkel and Howie Hellwig; and her three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, John.
A funeral mass will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at Old St. Patrick’s Church, 700 W. Adams St., Chicago.
Internment is private.
