Dr. Timothy Frank Fendon, D.O., of Hinsdale, a man of unmatched wit, intelligence and generosity, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer at the age of 57 on Dec. 16, 2024.
As an emergency room physician, Dr. Tim dedicated his life to helping others, bringing healing and hope to countless people during their most vulnerable moments. His colleagues admired his skill, his compassion and the levity he brought to even the most stressful days.
Generosity was the core of who Tim was. Whether offering his time, resources or a shoulder to lean on, he gave freely and with his whole heart. He worked tirelessly to ensure his children had a joyful and memorable childhood, filled with opportunities and laughter. From family vacations to supporting their college and future dreams, his dedication to their happiness and success was boundless.
Outside of work and family, Tim was the life of the party, armed with a sharp wit and a playful sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day.
He found joy in surrounding himself with good people. His kindness and selflessness knew no limits.
Tim is survived by his wife, Sonia; his children, Nicholas, Jack and Elise; his mother, Patricia Fendon; and two sisters, Peg (Jeff) Cox and Kate Fendon.
