Stephanie Julia Kirk, née Pasternak, 77, of Hinsdale, passed away peacefully Dec. 2, 2024.
Born in 1947, in Washington, D.C., to Walter and Ercel Pasternak, Stephanie grew up to value education, graduating from Northwestern University in Evanston.
An avid reader, enthusiastic sports fan, and passionate gardener, Stephanie's varied interests brought her joy. Her courageous battle with cancer was marked by unwavering strength and a positive spirit. Her family and friends will deeply miss her.
Stephanie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marquis Kirk; her children, Emily and David; her grandchildren, Henry, Ian and Ruby; her in-laws, Joshua and Eunice; and her siblings, Roger and Cathy Pasternak.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S Madison St., Willowbrook, with the reception starting at 9:30 a.m. A livestream of the service will also be available.
